God speaks to us in our own language so we can understand and invites us to do the same for others.

 Doctrine and Covenants 1:24 reads: "Behold, I am God and have spoken it; these commandments are of me, and were given unto my servants in their weakness, after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding."

 This scripture speaks to the fact that God meets us where we are. As He said, His commandments were given "after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding." God knows our weaknesses, our background, and what we need to hear. He doesn't speak over us. He also speaks to us in a way we can actually grasp. Good communication works the same way. So, because God takes time to know His audience, we should do the same. We can do that by using plain words, listening first, and caring more about being understood than sounding right. We can do this with our families, our friendships, or even at work; when we speak with love and clarity, that's how we reflect Heavenly Father's voice.
