Why Women are the Original Problem-Solver

 If the world had a group chat, women started it. If there was a crisis, women fixed it before the men finished arguing about whose fault it was. We didn’t get the title “CEO” or “General” first. We got the job anyway.

1. Necessity invented us

For centuries women were told “you can’t lead, you can’t build, you can’t decide.”
So we did it in the kitchen, in the yard, in the church, in the community. No budget? Make 3 meals stretch for 7 people.No doctor? Know which bush tea to boil.  No school fees? Start a savings club with the other aunties. Problem-solving wasn’t a skill we learned. It was survival.

2. We solve for the whole system, not just the symptom.

Men: "The pipe burst."
Women: "The pipe burst, the children need baths, dinner needs water, and if we don’t fix this now the landlord will raise rent." Women don’t just fix the problem. We fix what happens after the problem.
We think 5 steps ahead because we’ve always had to. Nanny of the Maroons didn’t just fight the British. She built farms, schools, and a whole free town in the mountains. She solved for freedom, food, safety, and legacy all at once.

3. We turn nothing into something.

No childcare? Start a community co-op. No money? Start a partner plan. No representation? Become the representation. Women are experts at working with scraps and making a feast. At taking “impossible” and turning it into “watch me.”

4. We lead with empathy + strategy.

The best problem-solvers understand people. Women have been reading rooms, moods, and unspoken needs forever. That’s why we’re good in a crisis. We can calm a child, negotiate with a landlord, manage a budget, and plan next month’s bills all before 9 am. It’s not multitasking. It’s multi-surviving.

 Women are the original problem-solvers because the world kept giving us problems and no manual. So we wrote the manual in pencil. While cooking. While working. While raising the next generation of problem-solvers.The world runs because women quietly figure it out first.
